Cooking Instructions

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 Heaping Tablespoon of Egyptian Moghat powder
  • 1 Tablespoon of Melted Coconut Oil
  • 1 Cup of Room Temperature Water
  • Sugar or Sweetener as desired (or honey for healthier option)

Directions To Make One Cup

1. ​ In a saucepan, melt 1 tablespoon of melted coconut oil on medium heat.

2.  Add 1 heaping tablespoon of Egyptian Moghat powder (add more if you like it thick)

3. Brown the powder in the coconut oil slightly, stirring constantly. The powder will clump a bit.

4.  After browning the powder for a couple minutes, add 1 cup of room temperature water. Stirring constantly, then add sugar according to preference.

5. Moghat will thicken after the sugar is added. Cook it for about 2-3 minutes, keep stirring.

6.  Continue stirring mixture until it boils.

7.  Remove pan off heat.

8.  Leave drink to cool in pan for 1 minute before serving.

9.  Serve and enjoy! Add coconut, raisins, and nuts for added flavor if desired.
